PayPal: Payment Setup

Both PayPal Express and PayPal Pro setup is similar. From within the profile area of your account you will need to setup API access and provide Giving Impact with the appropriate information to allow donations to be processed. The following details what you need to do.

1. Login into your PayPal Merchant account and click the “Profile” in the main menu.
2. On the page that results you should find and click the “API Access” link under the Account Information section.
3. Next, click the “View API Certitificate” link in the Option 2 box as pictured below.
   
4. Next, mark the radio button for “Request API Signature” and click the “Agree and Submit” button.
   
5. The page results will show your API Username, API Password, and Signature. You will need to carefully copy and paste each of these into the “Payment Settings” tab in Giving Impact for the appropriate version of PayPal you are using.
