Privacy Policy
General Information
At Minds On Design Lab Inc. (“MOD-Lab”), we take the trust our clients have placed in us and our products and services very seriously. MOD-Lab will not make available to anyone the names, address, or any other information that an Account Holder (“User”) has entered into Giving Impact (“Service”) without the User’s permission or barring the following circumstances:
- It is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of Terms of Service, or as other required by law.
- We transfer information about Users if MOD-Lab or Giving Impact is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, MOD-Lab will notify Users the earlier of within sixty (60) days after the completion of such acquisition or merger or before information about Users becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Information Gathering and Use
- MOD-Lab explicitly requests when we need information that personally identifies Users (“Personal Information”). Personal Information is used for services provision, billing, identification and authentication, services improvement, contact, and research.
- MOD-Lab does track site usage including documenting ip addresses, browser, operating system, pages visited, referring pages, and referring social networks.
- As part of the donation process on Giving Impact, Users will obtain the email address and /or other information about donors. By agreeing to our Terms of Service, Users are responsible for the handling of such information. MOD-Lab does not tolerate spam. Users should not add the name or contact information to their mail lists without donors’ express consent.
Cookies
A cookie is a small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to a browser from a web site’s computers and stored on a computer’s hard drive.
- Cookies are required for Giving Impact.
- Giving Impact uses cookies to store current session information. Cookies used are not permanent.
Security
MOD-Lab has policies and procedures in place to protect the privacy and confidentiality of Personal Information that we collect and maintain. MOD-Lab does not store User or donor credit card numbers in our database, however does employ Third-Party Providers that do. MOD-Lab carefully selects providers whom are compliant with industry security standards. MOD-Lab uses Secure Sockets Layering (SSL) to encrypt all data before it travels over the Internet. MOD-Lab follows generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to Giving Impact, both during transmission and once submitted to us. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while MOD-Lab strives to use commercially acceptable means to protect User and donor personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Changes
MOD-Lab may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be followed by sufficient efforts to communicate those changes to Users.
